Born and raised in Greater Boston, Jeannie received a B.A. in Psychology and Music from Gordon College and later an M.A. in Christian Ministries from East Asia School of Theology in Singapore. In 2014, she encountered the Holy Spirit powerfully during a Symphony service and gave her life fully to Jesus that day. In 2018, she moved to Singapore for a few years to serve as an AMI Missionary Intern, where God gave her a call for full-time ministry and a heart for the nations. Jeannie’s life vision is rooted in Isaiah 61:3 - passionate about using music as an avenue to empower cross-cultural and multi-generational groups with a “beautiful headdress instead of ashes, the oil of gladness instead of mourning, and the garment of praise instead of a faint spirit; that they may be called oaks of righteousness.” She longs to see every nation, tribe, and tongue magnifying the name of the Lord in every language and expression.
In her free time, Jeannie loves venturing in various art mediums, adventuring into new cities/sights, and playing board games with her husband, Duk Hwan, who also serves as a Deacon at Symphony.
